Boulder, Colorado October 11, 2007 -- Fresh Produce Sportswear is pleased to announce the launch of their first-ever premium denim line, FP Jeans. The Boulder, Colorado-based apparel company, known for its refreshing color, relaxed look and everyday comfort, invites women to find their perfect fit with a brand new denim line-up that consists of six styles, including a full-length Bootcut Jean, casual cropped-length Pedal Pushers and Capris, a flirty knee-length Skirt, flattering Bermuda Shorts and the perfect Jean Jacket. Says Fresh Produce co-founder, MaryEllen Vernon: “We thoroughly researched and tested the fit to make sure we are offering the best looking and most comfortable jeans to our customers. The styles look and feel great on everyone, but we added unique detailing that customers have come to expect from Fresh Produce.” FP Jeans will be available at Fresh Produce company-owned retail stores, as well as clothing retailers nationwide this November. The company will launch FP Jeans with The Great FP Jean Swap, a promotion at company-owned stores, from November 1st through 10th. Customers are invited to bring in a gently used pair of jeans to any Fresh Produce store and receive $15 off a new pair of FP Jeans. Fresh Produce will donate all jeans collected during the promotional period to a local shelter.

Philippine Ambassador Recognizes Fresh Produce Sportswear for Contributions to Typhoon Disaster’s Littlest Survivors

April 25th, 2007, Boulder, Colorado -- When Typhoon Durian hit the Philippines’ Albay province in 2006, the storms left many families with only the clothing on their backs. Heeding a plea for extra support and assistance from Children International, an organization that provides assistance to children and families struggling in terrible poverty, Fresh Produce Sportswear donated more than 176,000 pieces of vitally needed clothing and accessories. This gift represents the largest non-governmental contribution and the first clothing donation ever allowed into the country.
As a result of the company’s generosity, Fresh Produce employee, Kathe Freund, was appointed “Ambassador of Fresh Produce Children Outreach” to the Washington, D.C. Philippine embassy. This role came about because the Philippine Ambassador wanted to recognize Fresh Produce and Children International for the work they are doing to help the typhoons’ littlest survivors. Boulder's Fresh Produce distributes clothes to children in the Philippines
BOULDER, CO - Hope arrives in Manila, Philippines, in the form of Children International and Fresh Produce two months after a series of typhoons leaves 11,000 families sponsored through Children International, a U.S.-based nonprofit child sponsorship organization, with only the clothes on their backs.
When Thom and Mary Ellen Vernon, the co-presidents of Fresh Produce Sportswear, a Boulder-based quality-clothing manufacturer, made a donation of children’s clothes to Children International, little did they know they would witness firsthand the hope their donation is giving the typhoons’ smallest survivors.

Founded in 1991, YWAM has built nearly 2000 Homes for Hope for needy families and is funded by individuals like the Vernons who make the trip to build the homes.
